“Radio with heart soul and the right amount of grit.”

DEAD NATIVES
“Way Out Radio is the way forward for modern day music and getting heard!”

CHRIS BOWSHER / RADICAL DANCE FACTION
These little radio stations are inspiring. Radio is as rock and roll as brothel creepers. Kane FM, attracting the listeners away from big stations pouring out their talent show candy floss and are playing music that has been made with a bit of thought given to subject matter beyond just asking if someone can huff and puff over someone else. Paula Frost does the way out show on Kane fm. She’s getting 5000 listeners most weeks. She well worth checking on a third afternoon. And the ska and reggae show on Radio Woking offers the ears similar quality fare, albeit of a slightly more focused brief. Photo of Paula Frost and Producer Paul from the Way Out Radio show..+ a nice chap called Mark and back in fine fettle , Freddie…and looking back , there was a another good lad there, Alex and somehow I didn’t mention him but got there now.

ORLANDO SEALE
“Paula’s show is characterised by her irrepressible zest for life and her clear love of music. She’s an incredibly gifted musician in her own right and has an encyclopedic knowledge/record collection. It was an absolute joy getting the chance to play on her show. I am a big fan.”

THE WILD THINGS
“Community radio is the lifeblood of up and coming bands – it’s absolutely the first place to hear some of the most exciting music being created in the UK today and Way Out Radio is one of the topmost shining beacons.”

PENNY RIMBAUD
“Just a studio room in Guildford, an uncomfortable steel chair, a microphone that was at war with its stand, a bottle of water and a chat with Paula. And love prevailed, filled the air with sweetness. Funny how simple life can be.”

SLEEPY FOLK
“Being on air with Paula was a fun and exciting experience for us. It’s not every day you get a five-piece band + instruments singing mouth to mouth on two mics. ”

ALEX / WONK UNIT
” I did dancing and smiled a lot and we were silly.”

WAY OUT RADIO: LIVE SESSIONS
(WOR)
Acoustic sessions from eclectic radio show.
8/10
The Way Out Radio Show has been serving up weird and wonderful underground rock across the airwaves this last few years and some invited guests have provided the show with some ridiculously memorable one-off live-on-air moments. With aural delights such as Wonk Unit and their irreverent “Horses” through to Chris Bowsher from RDF unleashing a techno-folk version of “Dirty Old Town” the show is rarely dull, that’s for sure. Movie star Orlando Seale who also popped up in TV’s “The IT Crowd” weighs in with the delightful “Everything Must Go” and Penny Rimbaud from Crass offers a poetic moment to bookend the collection. With all of the profits going to community radio station Kane FM, this is well worth your heard-earned, simply due to the tracks being so gleefully multifarious.
