The Chats Return – 6L GTR

THE CHATS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM FOR RELEASE ON AUGUST 19th

Via the Aussie band’s own Bargain Bin Records, the trio show no signs of slowing down amidst the loss of well loved guitarist Josh who mysteriously left the band at their height. Many fans will remember the mad teenager from The Chats last tours of the UK, where he ran around frantically to Queen’s ‘We Are The Champions’ and told us all about his backseat escapades which landed him with chlamydia.

Original members Eamon Sandwith (bass/vocals) and Matthew Boggis (drums) have replaced Josh Price with Josh Hardy, previously the singer of The Unknowns. The newly fired up 3 piece have now brought us this hard and fast trash rock tune ‘7L GTR’, echoing early Motorhead and Black Flag. If nothing else, The Chats are certainly catchy and deliver exactly what’s written on the tin.

LYRICS

Fangin down the highway

Motor on the burn

You can hear the squealing

As the tyres turn

Got my hand out the window

Got the breeze in my hair

Rippin thru the roadworks

They can’t help but stare

Pulled in at beefy’s

Got a steak and cheese

Hoonin down the bruce now

As fast as I please

Late arvo congestion

Every day’s the same

So I pulled left around em

Drove up the bike lane

Don’t need a big flash fancy car

Just need a 6 litre GTR
